Liv is a sound healer and sonic alchemist (a DJ who builds sets aligned to your chakras). She's also a reiki master, human design reader, and huge advocate of building community around shared goals and interest like creativity and spirituality. She's been hosting full moon circles since 2020 and loves making new spiritual friends. She believes we all have the tools to heal ourselves inside of us - we just sometimes need a little guidance :)
Description
What to Bring
- A candle
- A pre-written journal entry (prompt below)
- Anything else you'd like at your altar (crystals, tarot, etc)
What to Expect
Whether you have never been to a circle before or this is your 15th time, I welcome you. No two circles are ever the same. The evening starts with happy hour snacks and light refreshments before settling into circle as a group. We meditate to my Nepali singing bowls and then we will read one another's journal entries out loud. Please don't worry - all of us are in the same boat (I write an entry, too) so it's completely okay if you feel awkward or vulnerable about your thoughts being shared. Try to write from the heart as much as possible. We don't have enough spaces for true open, non-judgmental dialogue anymore and that's the goal of this circle and community.
What to Write
Please don't feel like you have to answer every single question. The below are just a guide :)
✨ Where in my life am I clinging to comfort out of fear of change? What would it feel like to trust the unknown?
✨ What emotional truths have I been avoiding? What would it look like to face them with softness and self-compassion?
✨ How can I honor both my desire for stability (Taurus) and my need for transformation (Scorpio)?
✨ What does true self-worth look and feel like for me — and how can I root deeper into that?
✨ What rituals or practices help me feel safe enough to explore my shadows and emerge with more clarity and power?
What's Going On In The Cosmos
The May full moon is known as the Flower Moon, a name rooted in Native American and European traditions, symbolizing the lush bloom of springtime. Nature is in full expression now — petals open, bees buzz, and beauty abounds. This moon invites us to blossom too — into deeper embodiment, self-worth, and emotional truth.
This month's full moon peaks in the sign of Scorpio, opposite the steady and sensual energy of Taurus. While Taurus encourages us to ground, indulge, and root ourselves in comfort and pleasure, Scorpio calls us to dive into the depths — to confront what lies beneath the surface, to release what no longer serves, and to transform.
Together, this axis invites us to explore the balance between holding on and letting go, between the material and the emotional, between security and vulnerability. Under this potent moon, we are invited to shed old skins, honor our inner truth, and cultivate rituals that honor both our body and our soul. 🌸🌕
Full Evening Agenda
1. MOONSHINE & GROUND RULES We'll mix and mingle for a bit until everyone arrives. There will be light refreshments and snacks served for a happy hour before settling into our circle. Then we'll go over the basics to set up a mindful space for sharing.
2. SET INTENTIONS & LIGHT CANDLES We go around the circle and state 1 thing we hope to gain from this experience as we each light our candle in front of us.
3. MEDITATE We'll spend 10 minutes meditating by candlelight to the sound of my singing bowls lovingly made under a full moon in Nepal. Spend time reflecting on our goals, connecting as a group, and getting in touch with our bodies as we enter zen self-reflection mode.
4. INTROSPECT This will be a large part of our evening. One by one we will read each other's journal entries aloud to the rest of the group. The purpose is to have a space to be purely heard. No dialogue yet, just listening.
5. EXTROSPECT Dialogue ensues. Each circle member gets the chance to comment on whichever they heard from others. Did something evoke a strong reaction? Make you think in a new way? Feel free to share anything that comes up.
6. GRATEFULNESS & GAIN Each member of the circle states one person/place/thing they are grateful for having or currently experiencing in their lives.
7. HOPEFUL LOSS Circle members state one thing they hope to reduce/lose/let go of in the coming weeks as they blow out their candles one by one
8. CLOSING THOUGHTS A chance for open dialogue, feedback, connecting with other members of the circle and easing back into the routines of life before going back off into the dark of the night.
